Job Summary
Provide broad-scope primary care in an on-site workplace health center, delivering patient-centered care with ample time per visit (about 30 minutes in line with clinic norms), under the supervision of a Collaborative Physician. Role requires licensure as an RN and NP, certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and Compliant practice with HIPAA/OSHA. Utilize Athena EMR, manage prescription authority, and adhere to the organization’s mission and Patient Promise to improve employee health outcomes. The position emphasizes thorough, patient-focused care and avoidance of volume-based metrics, with experience in workplace health concepts and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (MSN)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Family Practice/Primary Care
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in practice state
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
- Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical providers
- Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Thorough knowledge and adherence to HIPAA, OSHAA, and clinical quality standards
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
- Demonstrated problem-solving and work flow management skills
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records (Athena)
- Must be willing to develop a thorough understanding of the Mission, Vision, Values, and Patient Promise of Proactive MD and be a champion of them in each patient encounter.
