Job Summary
Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, and company policy. Perform physical assessments on patients, document pertinent data in medical records, and evaluate patient responses to treatment. Communicate effectively with the IV team regarding patient status and report significant observations to the Center Director. Educate patients and family members on therapy plans and participate in the Quality Improvement program. Ensure all medication orders are complete, accurate, and up to date prior to treatment. Participate in the On-Call program for after-hours, weekend, and holiday visits, and provide clinical coverage for NPs on PTO. Requires an MS in Nursing, active NP license, and IV therapy experience.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Nursing
- minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
- Experience with IVs
- Current, active, and valid unrestricted NP license to practice as a healthcare professional with scope of license in applicable state
- active, current, and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Multi-state licensure
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test
- Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver
- Must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s)
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare experience with IV's
- 2+ years of experience with IV
- Port, PICC & Peripheral Line experienced
- Medication Mixing experience
- Titration experience
