Job Summary
Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to practice under supervising physician in a full-time, Tue-Sat clinic. Responsibilities include medical histories, physical exams, assessment and planning; ordering and reviewing diagnostic tests and procedures; performing or assisting with therapeutic procedures; patient education and counseling; facilitating referrals to health facilities and community resources; and maintaining health care maintenance per protocols. Requires CA medical license (PA/FNP), DEA license, professional liability insurance, English/Spanish bilingualism, a reliable automobile, valid CA driver license, and annual TB/physical clearance. On-site role at Via Care Community Health Center in South Gate, CA with 50% or more of time spent in patient care tasks, and interaction with physicians, other health care professionals, and patients. | EEO statements included; pay scale disclosed within posting; travel not emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State of California Medical License (PA/FNP)
- Valid DEA License
- Valid Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance
- English / Spanish Bilingual
- Must have a reliable automobile for use on the job

- Must have and maintain State required automobile insurance coverage
- TB and post-employment physical clearance, to be renewed every year
