Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and ongoing assessments for patients receiving treatment for substance use disorders. Diagnose and manage substance use disorders and related medical conditions, including prescribing and managing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in accordance with state and federal regulations. Monitor patient progress to adjust treatment plans and collaborate with behavioral health and recovery teams to support stabilization and long-term recovery. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide patient education for recovery and relapse prevention while ensuring compliance with Ohio state regulations. Requires current Ohio FNP or PA licensure, DEA registration, and national board certification. Full-time inpatient position at OVP Recovery Center.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA as applicable)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Experience or strong interest in addiction medicine or behavioral health
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in addiction treatment, psychiatry, or primary care
- MAT experience (buprenorphine, naltrexone, etc.)
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles
