Job Summary
Lead as the Family Nurse Practitioner in a fast-paced urgent care setting in Talladega, AL, delivering full-scope care to patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Diagnose and treat common illnesses (cold, flu, strep, COVID), perform minor procedures (toe nail removal, foreign object removal), suturing, splinting, general orthopedics, and review X-rays with radiology oversight. Provide general dermatology, eye care, EKG interpretations, emergency management, general GYN, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services. Act as the clinical leader for a small medical assistants team, guiding treatment decisions with established protocols, and promoting growth and professional development. The role supports rural communities (open 7 days a week, 362 days/year) with tuition/loan reimbursement grant opportunities and a two-year investment in personal and community impact. Training and onboarding include on-site HQ orientation, with ongoing mentoring to help new graduates succeed in urgent care.”,
Required Qualifications
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
- MSN, or higher education required
- DOT certification (or willingness to become DOT certified)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred
