Job Summary
Conduct patient-focused care including minor surgery, suturing, splinting, orthopedic evaluations, dermatology, eye problems, EKG interpretations, and general GYN expertise. Manage emergency situations, treat children of all ages, and deliver occupational medicine and telemedicine services. Review x-rays for radiologist over-read and lead high-volume urgent care teams across multiple clinics. Shifts are determined two months in advance, with Monday through Friday hours from 8:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m., and Saturday through Sunday hours from 9:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. or 9:00 p. m. depending on the location. Board certification and MSN education are required.
Required Qualifications
- COVID vaccination
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification
- MSN, or higher education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for shifts determined two months in advance
- Must be able to work Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Must be able to work in South Central Alabama area
- Must be able to work within 90 miles of home location
- Must be able to perform minor surgery (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
- Must be able to perform suturing
- Must be able to perform splinting
- Must be able to perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management
- Must be able to review x-rays
- Must be able to perform General Dermatology
- Must be able to perform General eye problems
- Must be able to perform General EKG interpretations
- Must be able to perform Emergency management skills
- Must be able to perform General GYN expertise
- Must be able to treat children of all ages
- Must be able to perform Occupational medicine
- Must be able to perform Telemedicine
- Must pass standard pre-employment background checks
- Must pass drug screens
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in EMR
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
