Job Summary
Conduct routine physical and psychosocial assessments, formulate individualized plans of care, and adapt educational programs for patients and families. Perform skilled procedures, make independent clinical decisions, and ensure efficiency in care delivery by prioritizing immediate needs. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to address transitional health care needs and advocate for patient rights while resolving conflicts. Requires graduate of accredited nursing school, one year of outpatient FNP experience, and active California licensure with national certification. Located at Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, a 25-bed acute care hospital serving over 40,000 patients annually.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and FNP
- Minimum one year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient clinic setting
- RN NP BLS and DEA certifications
- Active licensure as a registered nurse in California or possession of a temporary California RN license (TL)
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing from the California State Board of Nursing
- National Nurse Practitioner Certification in good standing from either the AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) or ANCC (American Nurse Credentialing Center)
