Job Summary
Conduct independent history and physical assessments for children and adults, interpret diagnostic data, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments. Manage patient care for all age groups, including annual preventive examinations and chronic illness visits, while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary staff. Document all encounters and procedures in medical records, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and RSBCIHI health care objectives. Work an 8-hour shift with an average of 12-18 primary care visits, including evening and weekend availability as needed. Travel between RSBCIHI clinic locations in Banning, Grand Terrace, San Jacinto, Temecula, Mountain Center, Anza, and Thermal. Maintain sensitivity to Native American cultural and spiritual values throughout patient interactions.
Required Qualifications
- graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- completed an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
- current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse License
- California Nurse Practitioner License
- California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
- National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- current CPR certification that complies with the guidelines set by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- valid California Driver's License
- Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs
