Job Summary
Conduct clinic care, clinical precepting, and inpatient admissions including med/peds, OB, and newborn care at St. Mary's Hospital and Family Medicine Clinic. Manage a typical week of two clinic half days, three to four precepting shifts, one to two GME half days, and administrative time. Provide minimum one call shift weekly with weekend coverage and intermittent call, working from home until needed. Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, care coordinators, and integrated behavioral health providers. Maintain ABMS board certification in Family Medicine with active Colorado license and BLS/DEA certification.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- ABMS board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine with/without OB
- Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- BLS certification and DEA
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for intermittent call
- Must be able to work inpatient weeks including med/peds admissions, OB, and newborn care
- Must be able to work 2 clinic half days
- Must be able to work 3-4 clinical precepting shifts
- Must be able to work 1-2 GME half days
- Must be able to work administrative time
- Must be able to work from home until needed in hospital
- Must be able to work minimum of one call shift per week of inpatient
