Job Summary
Provide direct clinical supervision and teaching for Family Medicine residents in inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining an active clinical practice. Participate in didactic teaching, case conferences, and academic curriculum development to support a high-quality educational environment meeting ACGME accreditation standards. Assist the Program Director in administration, oversee resident recruitment, and mentor residents in scholarly activities, research, and quality improvement projects. Ensure compliance with ACGME requirements by participating in Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee meetings.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (or Board Eligible with certification within required timeframe)
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maine
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as Residency Faculty or Clinical Educator
- Experience with ACGME accreditation processes
- Interest in curriculum development, research, and quality improvement
- Strong commitment to medical education, mentorship, and patient-centered care
- Experience in graduate medical education or teaching residents preferred
