Job Summary
Provide full spectrum outpatient medical care to patients from infancy to elder care, including continuity visits in Bethel and annual travel to subsistence villages. Maintain conformity with Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital policies, procedures, and protocols while serving on staff committees as assigned. Contribute to training programs for medical students and residents during clinical rotations. Exhibit a professional, gracious, and caring manner with patients under the Corporate Mission.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed an accredited medical school
- Must have completed a residency training program
- Must be board eligible or board certified by the appropriate board of the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association
- Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska State License
- Must have or be able to obtain a DEA License
- Must have computer skills needed to access computerized medical records
- Needs the skills and knowledge to practice medicine in the area of their specialty
- Ability to supervise medical students and residents
- Must be able to travel to their continuity village(s) by small plane at least four times annually
