Job Summary
Family Medicine Physician on the U.S. Army health care team delivering care to Soldiers, family members and eligible beneficiaries in inpatient and outpatient settings, including pre- and post-operative care. Responsibilities include contributing to humanitarian missions, ongoing leadership training, and providing high-quality patient care with a focus on care first. Requirements include MD or DO from a U.S. accredited school, current U.S. medical license (DC or PR also acceptable), board eligibility, completion of at least one year of approved GME internship, age 21–42 with waivers as applicable, and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Eligibility for board certification
- Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
- U.S. citizenship
