Job Summary
Conduct routine check-ups, screenings, immunizations, and diagnose/treat acute and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. Perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing and lesion removal while serving as the primary point of contact for patients. Coordinate care with specialists, maintain accurate medical records, and facilitate referrals to ensure continuity. Stay updated on medical research through continuing education and adhere to ethical standards. Requires full-time 8-4:30 M-F schedule at Meritus Health locations in Williamsport, Frederick, and Valley Mall.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families
