Job Summary
Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) needed for Seward Community Health Center in Seward, Alaska. Full-time primary care role serving patients of all ages with emphasis on acute and chronic illness management, preventive care, urgent/walk-in care, and collaboration with specialists. Responsibilities include physical exams (sports and preventive), basic procedures (casting, suturing), ordering and interpreting tests, developing treatment plans, patient education, EHR documentation, HIPAA compliance, and participation in community outreach and care coordination. Requires Alaska license or ability to obtain, board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, and a minimum of five years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Minimum of five years of experience as a physician (primary care preferred)
- Current State of Alaska physician license or ability to obtain by start date
- Maintain certifications and training to meet SCHC credentialing policies
