Job Summary
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages while serving as the primary consultant for adult cases referred by other staff providers. Complete all electronic medical record fields after each visit, including e-signing of notes, and ensure quality medical care adheres to Avenue 360 standards. Supervise medical assistants and lab personnel regarding specific support services for patient care delivery. Attend internal provider meetings and committees as required, while performing quality management and assurance activities in full compliance with Joint Commission and funding source standards. Maintain a valid Texas medical license, board certification in Family Practice, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license to practice in the State of Texas
- Board certified in Family Practice
- Current BLS Certification
- Valid DPS license
- Valid DEA license
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine and allied services commensurate with training
- Special interest in the area of community medicine
- Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community
- Participation in trainings required by the funding source and/or as required by licensure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in HIV/AIDS care
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
