Job Summary
Provide 24/7 medical care to ACS adolescents across detention sites, school-based health centers, and group homes, prioritizing safety and security. Take patient histories, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and perform comprehensive physical and gynecological examinations. Write prescriptions, administer immunizations, assist with phlebotomy, and manage medication distribution while completing court orders and mandated paperwork. Make and track referrals to external providers, follow up on care, and provide health education on preventive medicine, chronic diseases, and parenting. Participate in patient outreach, case conferences, and assist the Medical Director in protocol development and research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Physician registration
- Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Minimum three years related experience in family, pediatric, adolescent urban populations
- Must pass all appropriate screenings to work in a secured setting with young people
