Job Summary
Provide 24/7 medical care to ACS adolescents across detention sites, school-based centers, and group homes, prioritizing safety and security. Take patient histories, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans using diagnostic data. Perform comprehensive physical and gynecological examinations, administer immunizations, and manage medication distribution. Write prescriptions, complete court-ordered paperwork, and track referrals to external providers. Assist with phlebotomy to ensure smooth patient flow. Offer health education on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and parenting. Participate in case conferences, patient outreach, and assist the Medical Director in developing protocols. Evaluate ACS employees only on an emergent basis.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Physician registration
- Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Minimum three years related experience in family, pediatric, adolescent urban populations
- Must pass all appropriate screenings to work in a secured setting with young people
- Schedule = 40 hours per week - Day, Overnight, and Weekend
