Job Summary
Provide comprehensive family medicine services, including routine check-ups, health screenings, immunizations, and preventive care for patients of all ages. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections, and other common illnesses. Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans. Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and treatment options in both English and Bengali. Coordinate care with specialists and maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records. Deliver culturally competent care that respects the language, beliefs, and practices of Bengali-speaking patients. Serve as a trusted medical resource for the Bengali community, helping bridge language and cultural barriers to healthcare access.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
- New York State medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Open to new graduates
- Bilingual in Bengali, or relevant experience supporting Bengali-speaking or comparable communities
- Proficient in physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and utilizing electronic health records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bengali
- Strong clinical judgment
