Job Summary
Family Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) needed to provide comprehensive primary care in Queen Creek, AZ. Responsibilities include taking patients' histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, establishing diagnoses and providing care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in pediatric and adult patients; assisting with admissions/transfers/discharges; making referrals; participating in QA/QI programs; teaching PA students and medical students as applicable; engaging in research, scholarly activity, and clinical innovation; collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient/family plans. Opportunities to participate in telehealth/virtual care delivery, sponsorship/investigator-initiated research, and to work with a great MA/RN support structure. Outpatient duties include 36 patient-facing hours/week with ~18-24 patients per day on 8-hour days, plus 4 hours/week administrative time. After-hours outpatient calls are minimal (3-4 weeks/year). Required skills include excellent communication, EHR proficiency (Cerner a plus), independence and collaboration, organizational skills, and adaptability to learn new technologies. Located in Queen Creek, AZ with pay range $93,038-$156,291/year.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine or Primary Care
- Current and unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Arizona
- Current national board certification (NCCPA)
- BLS certification
