Job Summary

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse population, including infants, children, adults, and elderly patients. Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions independently or in collaboration with other healthcare providers. Perform routine physical exams, wellness check-ups, immunizations, preventive screenings, and health education while maintaining accurate patient records using the EPIC electronic health record system. Manage follow-ups for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease. Educate patients and families about health management and preventive care, and participate in community outreach programs to promote wellness. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Work as a 1.0 FTE in a supportive, small-town atmosphere with a focus on work-life balance.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working as a family medicine Provider
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine (or equivalent)
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Minnesota
  • CPR and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare providers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in an unpredictable, resource-constrained setting

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a family medicine or primary care setting, preferably in a rural or underserved community
  • Experience with rural healthcare challenges and resource limitations
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • EPIC experience a plus
  • Knowledge of telemedicine practices and technologies
