Job Summary
Virtual weight-management physician role focusing on obesity and metabolic health in adults. Primary duties include conducting virtual histories, assessments, and longitudinal care; developing weight-management treatment plans with nutrition, activity, behavioral, pharmacotherapy components; coordinating with a multidisciplinary team; ensuring documentation and adherence to virtual-care guidelines; and supporting program development and quality improvement. Requires MD/DO, completed residency, obesity-weight management board certification, maintenance of certification, and ability to work remotely from NC/SC/GA/AL with up to 7 APPs under supervision. Strong emphasis on obesity pharmacotherapy knowledge, telemedicine delivery, and compassionate, culturally sensitive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Board Certification in Obesity/Weight Management
- Maintenance of Certification per board standards
- Experience in virtual care preferred; obesity pharmacotherapy experience strongly preferred
- Willing to serve as collaborating physician for up to 7 APPs
- Physician must reside in NC, SC, GA, or AL
