Job Summary
Night shift opportunity for a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine physician in a correctional health team in the Houston area. Practice hands-on, mission-driven medicine with a diverse patient population in a setting that reduces administrative burden. Responsibilities include intake assessments, urgent care, emergency stabilization (BLS level), and care coordination with on-site radiology, lab, dental, pharmacy, and nutrition services. Approximately 2-3 patients per hour with higher-acuity cases transferred to a nearby Level I Trauma Center. Structured schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM), ~7 shifts per pay period (3 shifts in Week 1, 4 shifts in Week 2), with relocation assistance and a retention bonus. Competitive hourly rate (~$187.45/hour) and full medical/dental/vision/disability coverage.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (medical license)
- Medical license to practice in the United States
