Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner needed for locum-tenens coverage in an occupational medicine/urgent care outpatient clinic in Washington, DC. The role runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call, handling 20-25 patients daily (90% occupational medicine, 10% urgent care). Responsibilities include pre-placement exams, DOT and public safety physicals, and surveillance examinations for private companies and governmental agencies. DOT certification is required prior to starting, and orientation is provided for one week alongside a permanent physician before independent practice. Prescriptive authority is required. Location is on-site in Washington, DC; candidates should be prepared for credentialing and professional conduct consistent with the workplace health services setting.
