Job Summary
Provide primary care to underserved patients in an outpatient setting, delivering both in-person and virtual visits while collaborating with community partners and emergency providers for higher-level care needs. Manage daily clinical responsibilities including electronic health record documentation and telemedicine, participating in an after-hours on-call rotation approximately three to four times annually. Requires two years of FNP experience, a current Texas license, and board certification. This role supports a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare in Central Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified APRN
- Passionate about working with the underserved population who may be experiencing significant barriers to care
- Comfortable providing care both in person and virtually
- Grow a practice where you and your patients work together to decide the best course of treatment in achieving their goals in an outpatient setting
- Mission focused and passionate about improving access to quality primary healthcare
- Two years of FNP experience
- Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues
- Current valid license to practice in the State of Texas
- Ability to interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety if a patient needs a higher level of care
- Participate in after hours on-call rotation 3-4 times a year
- Possess computer/technology skills to efficiently document within an electronic health record and conduct tele-medicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually
