Job Summary
Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner role at Emory-affiliated clinic in Stockbridge, GA. Responsibilities include assisting in evaluation and treatment of patients, documenting care, patient interviews and histories, performing physical examinations and specialized procedures under physician supervision, assisting in diagnosing and planning care, and prescribing treatment. Requires completion of an accredited NP program, GA APRN licensure and ANCC certification (or NCCPA for PA applicants), BLS, and may require ACLS. Minimum 2 years of primary care experience and experience managing a patient panel; strong collaboration within a primary care team; eligible for productivity bonus and annual incentive plans; eligible for student loan repayment and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties
- American Heart Association BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
