Job Summary
Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner opportunity at Emory Healthcare in Stockbridge. Assist in evaluation and treatment of patients and document care in medical records. Conduct patient interviews, document histories and health status, perform physical examinations and procedures (including cast application and wound suturing/dressing changes) under physician supervision, assist in diagnosing medical problems, develop care plans, and prescribe treatments. Requires completion of an accredited NP program or PA program and current Georgia advanced practice licensure; BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required (ACLS may be required in some areas); experience in primary care and managing a patient panel; collaborative team environment; competitive base salary with productivity bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
- Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC or equivalent OR Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the NCCPA
- Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia
- May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties
- American Heart Association BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas
