Job Summary
Track patients across multiple health facilities, organize data in spreadsheets, and conduct chart audits using established rubrics. Schedule patients via direct calls, document history and vital signs, and record lab procedures while ensuring follow-up on results. Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibrate devices per approved testing procedures, and monitor quality control measures. Assist with emergency crisis measures as needed and train other technicians or workers. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations including HIPAA. This role supports Chronic Care Management initiatives within the medical office team.
Required Qualifications
- Medical office background
- Medical terminology
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education
- Current State Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Ability to think critically
- Knowledge of quality control
- Ability to be empathetic with patients
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to do the same jobs correctly and meticulously daily
