Job Summary
Academic core faculty position in Family Medicine for an 8-8-8 residency program in Phoenix. Responsibilities include direct patient care in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic (FQHC) and inpatient service, supervision of residents and medical students, didactic teaching and curriculum development, scholarly activities, and committee involvement. Lead and participate in teaching activities, provide letters of recommendation, and support residency recruitment and mentorship. Requires MD or DO with Arizona licensure, DEA license, and board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine; J1 or H1B visa eligibility; night and weekend call; proctoring may be available. Location-based duties at the South Central clinic (FQHC) and inpatient service at Valleywise Health Medical Center; collaborative metal of education with Creighton University Phoenix campus. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona
- Current DEA license for schedule 2-5 drugs
- Board eligibility or board certification in Family Medicine
- J1 or H1B visa eligibility
- Ability to provide direct patient care and supervise residents and medical students
- Commitment to graduate medical education and teaching in Family Medicine
- Capability to conduct scholarly activities and curriculum development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
