Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic at South Central clinic and on the inpatient service at Valleywise Health Medical Center. Supervise residents and students in both outpatient continuity and hospital settings while preparing lectures for didactic teaching of residents and medical students. Mentor students intending to match, review clinical rotation performance, and provide letters of recommendation. Participate in scholarly activities, staff meetings, quality improvement, and peer review to support ACGME compliance. Provide night and weekend call service. Report to the Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program.
Required Qualifications
- D.O. or M.D. degree
- current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Arizona
- current DEA license for schedule 2-5 drug classes
- be insurable for medical liability coverage
- Board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine specialty
- Night and weekend call service
- passion for teaching Family Medicine
