Job Summary
Conduct broad scope outpatient patient care while serving as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents. Participate in resident selection, orientation, and evaluation, and provide supervision to ensure patient safety. Contribute to curriculum development, program evaluation, and clinical competency committees, and prepare structured educational activities as requested. Support the Program Director and Associate Program Director in implementing policies and assisting with ACGME Milestones application. Engage in scholarship and faculty development initiatives while maintaining a split schedule between educational, administrative, and clinical duties.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified by the ABMS in family medicine
- Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
- Interest and ability to provide broad scope patient care
- Procedurally oriented for outpatient clinic setting
- Demonstrate interest in the education of residents
- Commitment to leadership in resident education and program administration
- Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning
