Job Summary
Provide for the safety and well-being of children in care through supervision, judicious discipline, and therapeutic crisis intervention. Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with children and families responsive to established treatment plans while promoting parent-child growth. Prepare youngsters for successful living within societal norms to improve family relationships, reunification, or independent living. Assure health and safety by identifying and communicating behavioral, emotional, or medical needs. Confer regularly with the Director, Case Planners, foster parents, and primary workers on individual and group progress. Provide safe and responsible transportation for youth and family members as required. Maintain a driver's license and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of experience with a high school diploma
- Driver's License
- ability to maintain insurability throughout employment
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree
- 1 year of experience plus a college degree
