Job Summary
Maintain assigned areas as welcoming respite spaces for families, providing amenities such as reading materials, clean toys, diversional resources, and fresh snacks. Answer questions and concerns of families while providing education regarding needed resources and health-related topics. Coordinate with hospital departments to ensure access to necessary services, assist families with available amenities, and collaborate on planning departmental events and programs. Identify opportunities for improving the family experience and provide volunteer training. Requires weekend and overnight availability for this contingent position.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have weekend and overnight availability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in an open environment with little direct supervision
- Effective data entry and report preparation skills
