Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents while preparing financial disclosures, child support worksheets, and parenting plans. Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings. Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally, editing drafts for client changes before final signing. Handle sensitive client data with utmost discretion and accuracy. Perform assigned tasks with promptness, meeting all agreed-upon deadlines. Requires 3+ years of family law experience, an associate's degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software (Smart Advocate, Clio, MyCase), and onsite availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of family law paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent
- Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including a solid understanding Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
- Proficiency with legal software and case management systems (e.g., Smart Advocate, Clio, MyCase, or similar)
- Demonstrate proficiency to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and approachable demeanor
- A professional presence and the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues
- Reliable transportation and the ability to be onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
