Job Summary

Maintain and organize client files, draft, prepare, review, and edit legal documents and correspondence, and file documents with the courts. Manage attorney caseloads by scheduling, prioritizing, and overseeing case management, while participating in discovery coordination through drafting, responding, and calendaring documents. Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes and case law, assist in trial preparation, and review mail and screen calls for attorneys. Answer telephone calls and greet clients as needed. This role requires two years of family law experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, ProDoc, and E-filing. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour shift.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of full-time experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal in family law
  • Knowledge of general office practices
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated skill in effective oral and written communication
  • Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, ProDoc, and E-filing
  • Paralegal certificate and two additional years of experience (substitutable for degree)
