Job Summary
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and financial disclosures; prepare parenting plans and child support worksheets; manage case calendars and track deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel; edit documents for client changes and prepare them for signing. Handle sensitive client data with discretion and accuracy while performing assigned tasks with promptness. Maintain onsite presence Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Support families navigating divorce, custody disputes, and child support matters through critical case management and compassionate communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of family law paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent
- Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including a solid understanding Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
- Proficiency with legal software and case management systems (e.g., Smart Advocate, Clio, MyCase, or similar)
- Demonstrate proficiency to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and approachable demeanor
- A professional presence and the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues
- Reliable transportation and the ability to be onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
