Job Summary
Manage sophisticated family law matters from start to finish, including divorce, custody, support, adoption, mediation, and high-net-worth asset division. Represent clients in family court proceedings, hearings, settlement conferences, depositions, and trials. Draft and review motions, pleadings, declarations, marital settlement agreements, and other court filings. Counsel clients through sensitive transitions with clarity and strategic focus. Proactively manage deadlines, court calendars, case strategy, and client communication. Work closely with attorneys and support staff to deliver responsive legal service. This role is based in Foster City, CA with a flexible hybrid structure. Candidates must reside in the Bay Area and be available for required in-person court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and firm needs.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 5+ years of family law experience
- Strong family law litigation background, including courtroom appearances and trial exposure
- Experience managing divorce, custody, support, and property division matters
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated cases and communicate effectively with clients
- Strong legal writing, research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Highly organized, proactive, responsive, and professional
- Must reside in the Bay Area and be available for required in-person court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and firm needs
