Job Summary
Manage contested divorces, custody and access disputes, child and spousal support, and property equalization matters as an independent lawyer or under senior direction. Deliver outstanding, cost-effective, and responsive legal services while building client relationships with an entrepreneurial spirit. Maintain membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and apply strong analytical, research, and writing skills to complex family law issues within a rapidly expanding firm offering a favorable compensation structure and strong career trajectory.
Required Qualifications
- at least 3 to 5 years of experience in family law matters
- minimum of 3 years experience in a law firm dealing with Family Law matters
- excellent knowledge and understanding of matters related to contested divorces, custody and access disputes, child, and spousal support, as well as property and equalization of net family property
- able to work independently or under the direction of senior lawyers as part of an established and growing team
- excellent communication skills
- entrepreneurial spirit
- proven success in building client relationships
- member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- strong analytical, research and writing skills
- excellent academic credentials
