Family Law Clerk

Job Summary
Family Law Clerk needed for an in-office role in Toronto. Support lawyers on family law files from intake through resolution, draft and prepare court materials (pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, briefs, and settlement documentation), assist with conferences, motions, mediations, and trial preparation, manage file organization and deadlines, coordinate service and filing with the court and opposing counsel, liaise with clients and court staff, and maintain organized electronic and physical files. Requires law clerk diploma or certificate, experience in a family law practice, strong drafting and multitasking abilities, and excellent communication skills. In-office environment with collaboration and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Law Clerk diploma or certificate from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated experience working in a family law practice
- Strong understanding of family law procedures, rules, and court processes
- Excellent drafting, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with court filing systems and document management software
- Comfort working in a fully in-office environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with lawyers and staff
