Family Enhancement Worker

The Family Enhancement Worker provides in-home, skill-based services to families involved with the Intact Family Services and Safety Services programs through the Illinois DCFS, teaching and modeling daily living and parenting skills, connecting families to resources, monitoring interactions to promote child safety and well-being, and advocating for clients. Responsibilities include maintaining regular contact with families through calls, collateral contacts, and in-person visits; assisting with documentation; teaching budgeting and homemaker tasks; supporting home management and safety; observing and reporting progress to the case team; coordinating with caseworkers; helping families navigate housing, financial resources, vocational training, employment, childcare, and assistance programs; transporting children/family members to activities and appointments; and traveling within Central Illinois and occasionally statewide. Requires trauma-informed practice, strong communication and collaboration skills, and willingness to travel; in-person work at the Ft Jesse Facility in Normal, IL, with 37.5 hours/week, may require some evenings to meet client needs.
