Job Summary
Provide family support services to Head Start and Early Head Start families through regular home visits, family contacts, and engagement efforts; recruit and enroll eligible families; collaborate with families to complete assessments and develop goal plans; support families in accessing housing, employment, food security, transportation, education, and other needs; promote parent engagement in classroom activities, governance, and program events; monitor children’s health, development, and safety; collaborate with Health Services to ensure screenings and follow-ups; maintain documentation and confidentiality while advocating for participants and supporting equity and inclusion in all services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with children and families in a human service, education, or health-related setting
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in human services, social work, family studies, early childhood education, public health, or related field preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Experience with case management, family engagement, referrals, and community outreach preferred
- Familiarity with Head Start School Readiness Goals, classroom management practices, and active supervision standards preferred
- Knowledge of maternal/child health, child safety, family systems, and child abuse/neglect risk is preferred
