Family Engagement Liaison (SY 26-27)

Family Engagement Liaison will provide services to students and families to build capacity within the family to assist in the student’s education at Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA). The role collaborates with teachers and parents to ensure student compliance and full engagement with school platforms and programs, and to facilitate successful completion of school requirements. Responsibilities include welcoming new students and families into the GCA community, facilitating communication between parents/Learning Coaches and the school, reaching out to families monthly via phone or Zoom, identifying training needs with the family engagement team, hosting school-wide events and parent workshops, educating parents on healthy home/school relationships and the GaDOE Six Requirements on Building Capacity, encouraging participation in school activities, assisting parents with academic coaching methods for home use, providing technical assistance related to parental involvement, maintaining accurate documentation of communications and supports in Infinite Campus, responding to emails/phone calls within 24 hours, completing state standardized testing training and participating in state testing as assigned, and performing cross-functional duties including Test Monitoring and Records & Enrollment processes. This is a home-based, primarily remote, Monday–Friday 8am–4pm role with occasional travel up to 20% and potential in-office days during critical periods.
