Job Summary
Maintain a full case load by conducting home visits, offering timely follow-up, and tracking service delivery using the designated agency system. Develop strengths-based assessments with families to describe goals, strengths, and necessary supports, then conduct follow-up meetings to monitor progress toward meeting those goals. Coordinate integrated services across departments including Family and Community Engagement and Child Development Services while managing accurate documentation and program deadlines. Actively promote parent involvement through the Parent Involvement Calendar and complete outreach, recruitment, and enrollment paperwork. Research community resources to assist families in accessing additional support and navigating crises.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Sociology or related field
- 1-3 years experience in a social service setting working with children and/or families
- Must receive Family Development Credential within 1 Year
- Demonstrated teaching or training skills
- Capacity to problem solve, handle crisis, and work with families and children of low-income backgrounds
- Ability to work sensitively with families of diverse ethnic, language and cultural backgrounds
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of local community resources
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
