Job Summary
The Family Development Trainer will teach a variety of curricula required/recommended by the Children’s Division and partnering agencies, facilitate state-required educational trainings for families seeking licensure for foster/adopt or kinship care, develop engaging activities to enhance training effectiveness, collaborate with licensing agencies to maintain compliance with state regulations and educational standards, provide ongoing support to prospective caregivers throughout the licensure process, and maintain accurate documentation of training sessions and participant progress. The role emphasizes strong public speaking, ability to convey complex material clearly, and ensuring participants understand and apply training content; requires a Bachelor's degree, valid driver’s license, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, English, Journalism, Communications or related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient results on typing test
- Case management, 1 year (preferred)
- Knowledge of foster care system (preferred)
- Strong public speaking experience
- Ability to obtain required training certificates
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Punctuality and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to promote teamwork
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Reliable transportation Required
- Background checks Required
