Job Summary
Collaborate with CFS programs and community partners to implement therapeutic interventions and achieve successful case outcomes. Link assessment, design, and evaluation of services to accommodate family needs, including evening and weekend availability. Respond to on-call crisis situations with 24/7 availability as directed by supervision. Assess family dynamics to determine appropriate interventions, support reunification with biological families, and improve parenting skills for challenging cases. Maintain licensure and complete required behavioral management certification. Transport participants using a personal vehicle with a valid driver's license and clear abstract, traveling island-wide as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency
- 1-4 years of post-masters experience
- Over two years, up to and including four years
- Good verbal and written skill in therapeutic assessment and treatment
- Good verbal and written skill in interviewing
- Good verbal and written skill in recording
- Good verbal and written skill in letter writing
- Ability to assess family dynamics
- Ability to assess strengths
- Ability to assess weaknesses
- Ability to determine most appropriate approaches and interventions
- Ability to work with challenging families
- Ability to improve parenting skills
- Support commitment to preserving a participant's connection with their family of origin
- Support commitment to reunification with biological family
- Valid Hawaii driver's license
- Clear driver's abstract
- Willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island
- Subject to a criminal background investigation
- Record clear of convictions
- On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Verification of licensure/certification
- Maintaining licensure/certification
- Successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification
- Ability to furnish or obtain information and/or provide client services
