Job Summary
Plan and teach a comprehensive Family & Consumer Sciences program with a culinary arts focus, including kitchen fundamentals, nutrition, baking, menu planning, and food safety; conduct kitchen-lab demonstrations, supervise equipment use, order and inventory supplies, assess student progress, communicate with parents and community, and collaborate with staff to support student development within district curricula.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college/university
- New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in Family and Consumer Sciences: Foods, Nutrition, and Food Science or Family and Consumer Sciences.
- Experience in instructing students in cooking, sewing, and independent living.
