Job Summary
Postsecondary CTE Teacher responsibilities: designs and implements instruction of designated postsecondary CTE content area(s)/course(s) in Family & Consumer Sciences; creates a positive educational climate; delivers rigorous lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement; employs diverse teaching practices reflecting students’ backgrounds; assesses and monitors student performance; manages classroom behavior; communicates with parents and school/district personnel; maintains confidential records and necessary certifications; engages with local business/community partners for the CTE program; participates as local CTSO advisor; pursues continuous improvement and professional development including industry certifications; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Eligibility for District Certificate required, including: Related bachelor’s degree with two (2) years related experience; Related AA/AS degree with four (4) years related experience; One (1) year of technical training with five years of verifiable experience; Six (6) years of full-time in-field verified work experience.
