Job Summary
Engage with families to support parent education, social connections, and crisis action plans while providing information on community resources. Work collaboratively to assure positive health outcomes for children and health literacy for families. Participate in ongoing recruitment activities to meet enrollment expectations and maintain communication with key partners including the Department of Health and Human Services and Child Welfare. Ensure all Early/Head Start performance standards, state and local licensing requirements, and funder requirements related to family services are met. Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human/Social Services, experience working with families with young children, and a valid driver's license. Starting pay ranges from $20.21 to $24.46 depending on education level.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human/Social Services or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Human/Social Services or related field
- Experience working with families with young children
- Head Start experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Strong documentation skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong group management skills
- Valid driver's license
- Use of a vehicle insured to state of Maine requirements
- Ability to travel out of state
- Ability to meet requirements of agency & State of Maine Child Care Licensing regulations for background checks, fingerprinting, and physical exams
Desired Qualifications
- Head Start experience strongly preferred
