Job Summary
Act as a liaison between the district, school sites, and families to promote and support family engagement in schools and students’ education. Plan, organize, and deliver services such as workshops, trainings, meetings, and college trips for all families and guardians, including underrepresented groups. Develop trainings for families and staff to increase family engagement, provide information on school and community resources, coordinate services with families to ensure impact, communicate with district personnel and families, attend professional development, and organize family meetings and events. Must work with diverse populations, prepare reports, and adapt work hours to meet community needs. Requires high school diploma and relevant coursework; California driver’s license; ability to connect families with services and resources and to collaborate with school personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- college-level courses required in areas of behavior science, sociology, or public relations
- valid California driver's license
- criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment
- ability to shift schedule for family-engagement activities
