Job Summary
Act as a liaison between the district, school sites, and families to promote family engagement in schooling and connect families with school and community services. Plan, organize, and deliver workshops, trainings, meetings, and college trips for all families and guardians (including underrepresented groups). Develop and implement strategies to increase family participation in school and district events; provide information/resources to help families support their child’s educational progress; coordinate services to ensure intended impact; and communicate with district personnel, school staff, families, students, and public agencies. Maintain records of activities and assist with district advisory meetings. Flexibly shift work hours to meet family engagement needs in the school communities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and college-level courses required, in areas of behavior science, sociology, or public relations
- Valid California Driver's License
- Criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment required for successful candidate
