Job Summary
Manage case files for subsidized childcare families by maintaining accurate records, processing enrollments, re-certifications, and provider changes while ensuring compliance with funding terms. Conduct outreach to recruit families, resolve parent and provider concerns, and print attendance logs for childcare providers. Process fee payments, reconcile accounts, and attend community events to meet program needs. Maintain an up-to-date eligibility list and safeguard confidential information. Requires bi-lingual Spanish/English proficiency, own vehicle, and ability to work weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bi-lingual Spanish/ English
- Ability to perform complex program requirements
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, regular schedule hours and on weekends if needed
- Strong organizational, analytic, and administrative skills
- Proficient in reading, writing, math, and understanding of work-related material
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Must be in good physical and mental condition
- Must always possess Live Scan clearance during employment
- Must possess own vehicle, a valid California Driver's License and appropriate automobile insurance at all times
- Ability to drive and travel, as required
Desired Qualifications
- AA degree or higher
- Experience working with childcare providers and CalWORKs participants receiving subsidized childcare assistance
- Working knowledge of existing Los Angeles County welfare system
- Sincere commitment to provide quality service to the public
- Sensitivity and ability to work well with diverse social, ethnic, religious, and cultural groups
